Empire Knights are much cheaper and even though their stats are significantly worse, they are more efficient when it comes to running down light infantry. They are sandwiched between just regular Empire Knights on one side and Knights of the Blazing Sun. Their stats aren't all that bad but they just don't have a real niche.
